Case Study: Living at Kemsley View

Living at Kemsley View

Kemsley View Case StudyBob and Ailsa Thorp recently moved to Kemsley View which is set in the heart of Royal Deeside, in the popular village of Aboyne. Here they have been enjoying their retirement in the gorgeous countryside, making the most of their brand new home, local amenities and outdoor activities.

The couple who lived in Milltimber for the last 27 years decided to move to the Bancon Homes development in Aboyne due to its desirable country location, abundance of space and thoughtfully designed homes, after deciding to downsize and live closer to friends. Ailsa said, “Not only did we really like the design of this house, but we’ve been out to Aboyne a lot with cycling and our daughter got married out here last year. So we have met some of the local people and they were so helpful and friendly”.

Within Aboyne you can enjoy the best of both worlds – Country living with its abundance of walks, cycle routes and horse riding, with Aberdeen and its cosmopolitan attractions also within easy reach.  Ailsa commented that the couple, “Both like cycling and have friends that cycle a lot. We use the Deeside Way, which is great as we can access it from here without going on the main road more or less!” Also within easy commuting distance are business parks at Westhill and Kingswells, making Aboyne ideal for any age group and lifestyle requirements.

Kemsley View Case Study 2
Kemsley View provides residents with the opportunity to enjoy a superb quality of life within one of the most desirable areas of Scotland. The beautiful development has a wide mix of properties from villas to bungalows and the choice of 3, 4 or 5 bedrooms. This caters for everyone, including couples, families and those retiring or downsizing as in Bob and Ailsas’ case. Ailsa commented that “Bancon homes build lovely houses that are finished well, and are unique in the fact that they change their designs, from one development to another, allowing people to find the house that’s right for them”.

The house style that the Thorps fell in love with is the beautiful five bedroom Osborne. The stylish property features a high level of interior specification with a fabulous designer kitchen by Kitchens International. The dining and family area are on open plan and there is an additional elegant formal lounge. The spacious bedrooms feature contemporary Kelvin wardrobes, luxurious bathrooms and en-suites, with the house featuring oak finishing throughout.  The house also benefits from a lovely spacious back garden with plenty of space for entertaining and views over the un-spoilt countryside.

Amongst many features Ailsa and Bob commented that it was the size of the lounge, they really liked, along with the oak door surrounds. “Every other property we looked at has the white finishing, but we really like the wood, we find it much more attractive. Bancon Homes always keeps the customer in mind throughout the building process, thinking of ways to make your new house functional yet homely. Ailsa commented, “Another thing that really struck us is the amount of storage space, it’s been fantastic and is very unusual for a modern house, so we’ve been delighted with that.”

Kemsley View allows for quality living within the beautiful countryside and major city only 25 miles away. From outdoor activities to dining and relaxing, living at Kemsley View offers easy access to a range of local attractions. The houses within the development are suited for a range of different criteria and as stated by Ailsa are, “…spacious and classy, yet at the same time still homely”. Bancon Homes believe that buying a new home should be one of life’s most enjoyable experiences. Therefore we ensure that the process from reservation to moving in is a pleasurable one for all our customers. Bob added that “We’d certainly recommend Bancon. We’ve seen one or two of the Bancon developments and we’ve been very impressed by the standard of build. The whole process has just been so easy with Hazel the Sales Agent having been great and very helpful, providing any information when we have needed it.”
