There every step of the way

Bancon Homes are there every step of the way, guiding clients through the process. First, choose a home from one of Bancon’s beautiful developments across Aberdeen and shire and they will advise if it’s suitable for consideration under their Part Exchange Service and if there are any part exchange homes for sale in that development.

Next, the site Sales Consultant will gather full details of the client’s current property, including their expected price and will complete a reservation form marking it “Part Exchange Service”. At this stage a £500 reservation fee will be required to secure the new home.

The Sales Consultant will then make arrangements for an inspection of the client’s existing home to be carried out within the next few working days by a firm of chartered surveyors and a selling agent appointed by Bancon Homes, who will provide a valuation.

Bancon Homes will then assess the information and advise whether the client’s present home is suitable for introduction to the Part-Exchange Scheme service and make an offer based on a 90 day sale.

It’s on the market

At this point missives for the purchase of the new home including the part exchange of the existing home will be issued and once concluded, Bancon Homes and their appointed sales agents will commence a marketing programme for the client’s existing property. The missives require that access will be granted to Bancon Homes and their appointed representatives for the purposes of showing the property on all reasonable occasions.

Details of the Part Exchange property will also be publicised on the Bancon Homes website under the Pre-Owned Properties section, providing a wider exposure to buyers.

Don’t worry, it’s all covered

The worry of escalating costs and co-ordinating solicitors, estate agents and surveyors is removed.

Bancon Homes give an extra help by covering all marketing fees including the home report and preparation of schedules, advertising costs, Aberdeen Solicitors’ Property Centre insertion charges and estate agency fees in connection with the disposal of the client’s present property.

The client’s own solicitor can attend to the conclusion of missives and the conveyancing formalities but will be required to keep Bancon Homes fully updated on progress. Bancon Homes may be able to recommend a solicitor if needed. We recommend a quote is obtained from the solicitor beforehand.


Complete a reservation form and request that the sales Consultant initiate the “Part Exchange Service.” If no properties are currently available under the Part Exchange Service, clients can advise the Sales Consultant which Bancon Home is preferable and will be contacted if the property becomes eligible.
