Love At First Sight For Bancon Buyers

Finding the right house in the right location can often lead to a compromise, but for Adele and David Gracie, they were able to buy their perfect house at The Roses at Eden development by Bancon Homes, while enjoying stunning views over the city.

Both Adele and David were impressed from the outset, falling in love with the Loch house style as soon as they saw it. David (51), a senior technician with Grampian Assessors, said: “We were looking for two-bedroom properties outside Aberdeen or on the outskirts of the city when my wife found the development.

“When we enquired, Bancon Homes were kind enough to arrange a visit to the property prior to its competition, and we instantly fell in love with it.”

The couple previously lived in a two-bedroom flat in Ferryhill for more than 15 years but wanted to have their own front door in a quieter location. Adele and David bought a two-bedroom, two-bathroom home which features a large open-plan kitchen-dining area with French doors leading out to the garden.

Adele (48), a data quality assistant with NHS Grampian, said: “We wanted to upsize from living in a flat and have always longed for our own front door and private garden. The house itself surpassed all our expectations!

“It’s hard to choose our favourite part of the house, we love the designer kitchen, the built-in storage, the overall quality of the construction and the detailed finishings. We are especially excited about the garden and cannot wait to make use of it in the warmer months next year.”

After living in the continual hustle and bustle of the city centre, the couple wanted a more tranquil home. The Roses at Eden was the perfect compromise due to its close links to the city centre but with the added benefit of scenic countryside views.

Adele said: “What I like most about the area is how quiet it is compared to the city centre. The landscaping works surrounding the area that Bancon have designed are beautiful, and the views truly are amazing, it’s all very peaceful and relaxing.”

Having previously lived in a traditional older style building, Adele and David were looking for a modern build to minimise any additional costs associated with renovation or repair work.

David said: “The opportunity to purchase a house that had never been lived in before was very appealing, knowing that no costly renovation works would be required was also a huge plus.

“I would urge anyone considering a new build to go for it, it’s a special feeling knowing that you are the first occupants of a property and we love the fact we don’t need to decorate.

“The move itself was very easy, we were able to carry out the move at our own pace because the staff at Bancon were so helpful. All we had to do was arrange a removal van and house insurance.”

Adele and David are looking forward to taking their time with their own personal décor to make their new house their home.

Adele added: “Bancon Homes has made the whole purchase of the house a straightforward process, the help and advice we received was hugely appreciated, we still have to pinch ourselves knowing that we are the owners.”
