Bancon Homes Proudly Sponsors New Culter Girls’ Football Team

News November 27, 2025

In January 2025, Culter Football Club invited girls born in 2017 and 2018 to register their interest in forming a new youth team. The aim was simple but powerful: to offer grassroots training, encourage more girls to play football, and help make the sport accessible to all.

Training began later that month at The Compass Project with just six young players – and from there, the Culter Dynamites were born. Today, the squad has grown to 15 enthusiastic girls aged 6–8 from Culter Primary, Miltimber Primary and Cults Primary. United by their love of the game, the girls have not only developed new football skills but also formed lasting friendships. They proudly represent the club as its youngest girls’ team.

In April 2025, the club handed the running of the team over to a dedicated group of parents. Head Coach Neil Henderson, along with Colin Shaw, Eilidh Gilbert and several other committed volunteers, now give up their spare time to train the girls and organise friendly matches with other clubs. The Dynamites also take part in football festivals at Cormack Park, giving them valuable opportunities to compete, learn and grow in a supportive environment.

The Culter Dynamites are known for being an open and welcoming team, focused on helping every girl develop confidence and enjoy the game. After previously training in hand-me-down kits, the players are delighted to have their own team kit – proudly sponsored by Bancon Homes.

Tanya Fowlie, Sales Director at Bancon Homes, said:
“Supporting the local communities where we are building new homes is hugely important to us. Grassroots initiatives like the Culter Dynamites create opportunities, build confidence and bring people together. We’re delighted to play a part in helping the team grow and thrive.”

Bancon Homes is proud to stand behind the Dynamites and help inspire the next generation of young female footballers.
