Please be aware that call outs to issues not found to be emergencies or that have been caused by you or any alterations you have made, will result in costs being passed to you.
What qualifies as an emergency?
- Complete failure of the heating or hot water system. In the first instance, please try to resolve by following the manufacturer’s instruction manual.
- A water leak that cannot be contained. Please ensure firstly that you isolate the water using the isolation valve under your kitchen or utility sink.
- Complete failure of the electrics. Please make sure this is not caused by a general supply failure in your area. Check the main circuit board and attempt to re-set first.
- Blocked drainage resulting in loss of use of facilities. (If blocked drains are caused by inappropriate items being put down your drain, costs will be forwarded to you.)
- Failure of an external door locking mechanism or ground floor window causing a loss of security.
- Gas leak – if you suspect a gas leak you should contact your National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999.
- Roof leaks. (If this has been caused by storm damage then it is not covered, and you should call your building insurance company.)
Anything not classed as an emergency should be reported to us through the Home Care App and it will be handled by the team during normal business hours.
